MANVEL – The state-ranked Lady Mavericks secured its 30th win of the season at home Friday with a commanding 25-5, 25-5, and 25-15 sweep of District 24-5A foe Fort Bend Hightower.  Manvel was never threatened during the match as Aryn Johnson, Hailey Turner, Mya Singleton, and Morgan Smith among others unleashed a torrent of kills buttressed by the setting of Ceci Harness.  Libero Kristen Spruill contributed with a host of digs during the match.

In what looks to be a special season by the Lady Mavs, there is no lack of confidence based on this recent tweet from junior outside hitter Mya Singleton:

The Lady Mavs (30-6), currently riding a 12-game winning streak and having won 29 of its last 30 sets during this impressive run, looks to stay undefeated (8-0) in district play with a rematch looming on Tuesday at home against rival Shadow Creek.
