WEBSTER, TEXAS – Track and field season is underway for Alvin Yellowjacket competitors.  Over the last two weeks, several Jackets and Lady Jackets have taken part in district and area meets at Challenger Columbia Stadium.

Among all of the smiles were gritty performances and efforts in all events, especially the girls 4×200 meter relay team that had to overcome an injury to one of its runners.  Athletes and teams moving on the Class 6A UIL Region III Meet are Breanna Clark in the girls 800-meter and the Lady Jackets’ 4×100 meter relay team.

The Class 6A UIL Region III Meet is slated to be held at Challenger Columbia Stadium on April 26th – April 27.
